For those of you flying into Marseille, you can either take a shuttle bus (a navette in French) or a train to Marseille's central train station. From there, you will need to take a train to Toulon (the train journey takes about an hour). Here is a link for the times:

Please be aware that Marseille's train station is not very safe at night.
You can of course hire a car at the airport. http://www.mrsairport.com/eng/serv/serv_lv.jsp
A train ride from London to Toulon takes 7-8h: http://www.raileurope.co.uk/Default.aspx?tabid=101
From Brussels to Toulon, it takes about 6h: http://www.b-europe.com/Travel
